I think I'm starting to understand the 'nature' of fabric. I'm starting to get a little better at looking at a piece of clothing, and figuring out why the cloth drapes on the body as it does. It's really a fascinating thing to study. I can see now that if I want to draw thicker pieces of clothing, (like sweaters, jackets, ect) then I have to let the clothing slouch and settle in large, soft folds. Stiffer garb (like jeans) tends to have fewer wrinkles or flods, but when those folds or wrinkles do occur, they are large. Using these observations, I can make my drawings more realistic. One thing I'm now going to have to work on: Learning how light affects clothing, and how to convincingly shade it.
